Hello from the North West!

Newbie here so a quick introduction...

I'm relatively new to the world of Fish & Chips (2.5 years now) having bought a Fish & Chip Shop from a family friend near my hometown of Lancaster. It has been a great 2.5 years learning something new and getting my teeth into the challenge of taking on something which is completely different to my profession. In this time I have discovered a passion and drive to produce consistently good food and service... but as always there is room for improvement and am dedicated to continually improve.

I also have a full-time job working abroad in Kazakhstan for a large Oil & Gas company as a Project Quantity Surveyor. Obviously though I cannot be in two places at once so I have my brother (21) managing along with another Lady who take care of the everyday operation plus the other 7 staff. I get involved when I am back in the UK and I also deal with the majority of the paperwork / commercial stuff. Being a QS means I do spreadsheets in my sleep

Anyway, apologies for the long winded introduction... I look forward to getting to know some people here and learning more about the business we are in!
